Lodoss War’s painted backgrounds are the reason to own this on Blu-ray. Details I never noticed on DVD are now visible – brushwork in the forests, individual leaves. EuroAnime’s restoration team preserved the original art without digital smoothing.

The cover art uses an illustration from the original Japanese LD release. EuroAnime respected the archival design over any Western redesign.

Tested on four players including an old Oppo. All loaded in under four seconds. EuroAnime’s compatibility is broad across their catalog.

Lodoss War is the fantasy anime. This transfer does the painted backgrounds justice. Deedlit’s design holds up beautifully.

The 5.1 Japanese remix adds subtle rear-channel presence during the dragon flight sequences. EuroAnime’s remix team understood the fantasy aesthetic.

So happy to finally own this on Blu-ray. EuroAnime’s quality is excellent and the price was very fair. Fast, careful shipping.
SlaynSorcerer 🇺🇸 –
The disc splits the 13 OVAs with chapter stops at each OVA’s beginning and end. EuroAnime respects the format rather than treating it as a single film.

The dark elf arc has a specific color grading that this transfer preserves. No re-coloring. EuroAnime respected the original intent.
